COVID-19: Nigeria Evacuates 324 Nationals From US

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, on Saturday announced that another batch of 324 Nigerians stranded in the United States of America due to the COVID-19 pandemic have been evacuated.

The Minister who made this known via Twitter post stated that the Nigerian returnees are being expected into the country from Newark Airport, New Jersey.

He also added that 212 Nigerians are expected to arrive Abuja on Saturday via Turkish Airlines from Cyprus.

“Some of the evacuees are Nigerian students from Cyprus, Nigerian professionals in Turkey, and few Nigerian professional footballers,” he said.
