Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos State, on Saturday visited the site of the helicopter that crashed in the Opebi area of the state on Friday .
The governor, who met with the residence of both buildings where the crash occurred, said he has done an on-the-spot assessment of the place and promised that the state government would bear the cost of the renovations and provide necessary support needed.
” I was at the site of the helicopter crash at Opebi for an on-the-spot assessment. We sincerely sympathize with the families of the victims. I met with the residents of the buildings and we all thanked God for his abiding grace, he wrote on Twitter.
“I’m here to do a real on-the-spot assessment and I’ve seen things for myself, and after the condolences, it’s also to now thank God that as painful as the incidence might be, it also has not come with a lot of ground collateral damages.
